Everyone around the world is trying to spread happiness and radiate positivity during this pandemic. People are making masks and some are making care packages for the homeless and for the ones in need. But Veteren Captain Tom Moore is doing it differently, he is walking 10 laps a day around his garden to raise money for UKs National Health Service. After having a broken hip and cancer, Captain Moore did this to  give back to the UKs National Health Service (NHS) after they had treated him. Captain Moore wanted this to be a challenge before he turned 100 years-old. At a rate of 10 laps a day his first week he already raised 1,000 pounds, he was so surprised because that’s how much money he was aiming for.

Angel Putong says,”I think it’s awesome how Captain Moore is walking 10 laps a day and raising money for the NHS. I wouldn’t think a 99 year old would be doing that at his age.”

Captain Moore raised over 3.3 million pounds by walking 10 laps around his garden every single day, during the coronavirus pandemic. He was so amazed at how much money he raised by walking. “Who would have thought that when I set a target of £1,000 a week ago, it could have reached over a million pounds!” Says Captain Moore. His goal was to only walk 100 laps and rasie 1,000 pounds before he turned 100. He thanks the British public from the bottom of his heart and hopes to keep doing this. How are you going to spread happiness and radiate positivity during this pandemic.
