This year, a new elective added to our school is History of Photography taught by Ms. O’Leary. Kyra Mason (7) says, “History of Photography is about learning how to take quality pictures, and learning how to use a camera.” This year in History of Photography they have done many projects such as an Ordinary Beauty project. In this project they took a picture of ordinary things they see everyday, another project they did was Black and White where they took pictures and had to edit them to black and white. The project they are doing now is Portraits, this includes having to do photoshopping and correct lighting. Cassie Ariza (7) says, “My favorite thing I did in History of Photography was the projects especially the portraits, and what she liked was going outside to shoot.” History of Photography is a great class where you can learn to take pictures and how to properly use a camera.
