October 18, 2018

The cancer awareness walk takes place 10/8 through 10/12, Mrs.Brown a leadership and 8th grade P.E teacher hosts the cancer walk every year. The cancer walk is to support anyone dealing with cancer whether its a friend, family member, or even a stranger. All we do is walk around the field carrying signs and wearing a specific color depending on the day. Mrs. Brown started the cancer walk because she enjoys doing cancer walks and she wanted to bring the walk to the school for the kids to enjoy just like she does. “I walked for my uncle because I thought it was important to support him and anyone else dealing with cancer knowing many people suffer from it” – Robert 8th grade “I walked for my dad because he almost got cancer and its a serious topic that some people don’t understand” – Galen 7th grade
